Are Solar Flares and CMEs Activating Earthquakes in Ring of Fire?

There have been quite a few sizable earthquakes recently.

Could they be related to the coronal mass ejections from the X-class flares produced by our sun recently?

Suspicious Observers may be on to something with their hypothesis that solar activity predicts earthquakes (see here).

Here is a map of earthquake activity over the last 24 hours from the US Geological Survey:

The large earthquakes in Mexico and Guatemala were followed by smaller, but still significant, quakes in New Zealand (6.1 magnitude quake), Japan (6.1 magnitude quake), and now another in Bali, leading to evacuations due to fears about tsunamis (5.7 magnitude quake).

There were other earthquakes in and around the south east Asia area between 6.4 - 5.0 magnitude over the last 24 hours.

Earth is shaking. Massive sunspots on our doorstep according to Suspicious Observers....

  1. I really thinks so. The solar flares are very powerful! They emit massive amounts of cosmic radiation that have dramatic effects on our planet.

The hurricane activity this year, has seemed unreal. The activity this year in the Gulf of Mexico, Carribean, and Atlantic are from warming oceans. The hurricanes were predicted by meteorologists, at the beginning of the year. They saw 18 tropical storms brewing in the Gulf of Mexico, by June.

The predictions of drastic hurricane activity, were based on scientific data, verifying the warming of the Gulf and Carribean, south of Texas. The predictions were also based on the changing ocean currents in the Atlantic from climate change.

Many people, with any sense and, serious scientists alike have travelled to the Artic and Antartic and noted frightening changes. They have logged the changes.

Most people, with any sense, who have been to Antartica or Fairbanks will tell you, the truth. Those, who have been there a few times, in the last 30 years, will tell you: "Climate change is real!"

Go hike Mt Mckinley, or any Volanoes in the Cascades. If you had done it before or seen pictures from the sixties, you can see the receding glaciers.
Go to Glacier National Park. Not so many Glaciers left.

The nukes everywhere make this world a perilous place to live now. The racist, corporate shill, trump trolls lie their asses off! They use simplistic arguements and use propaganda to twist the truth. What a mess things are turning out to be, in what is left of this world.

    1. I agree about climate change. I have a colleague who travels regularly to Antarctica. I've seen the images of glaciers receding.

  2. X Solar Flares also bombard the earthe with high energy Neutrinos.

The government probably knows about the relationship between solar flares and earthquakes. It is hidden because of the nuclear security state and other factors.

  3. Since 1792,the Old Farmer's Almanac has predicted US weather using solar activity as part of their prediction model. When I was in the US, I found their predictions to be quite accurate. Earth's weather and geologic activity is definitely influenced by the sun, just as tides are influenced by the moon.

  4. Of course this person, who has no science background, steps up to defend climate deniers. Maybe sun activity accentuates some of the complex relationships of ocean currents, jet streams, rising ocean levels from poles melting etc etc. The ocean warming data, jet stream data, current data, is what alowed meteorologists to predict more intense: hurricanes and tropical storms this season. Storms of higher frequency this year and over the past 10 years or so.

The beaches, we have seen hve receed dozens of feet in thepast 35 years alone.

Maybe there is some little chickenshit ice age starting in some parts of the world, but it will have hundreds of years for effect. Meanwhile hundreda of coastal nukes will meltdown from increasing ocean levels and radical storms that dump rivers of water quickly.

Go back to collecting social security disability, in s america and pretending to be a libertarian. Better yet get a science degree.

    1. I'm not sure who you are referring to in your comment.

I think we can agree that human activity and the sun both have the potential to affect earth's climate.... Heat island effects in cities, such as Phoenix, illustrate human-caused localized warming

  5. According to the scientists I follow we are entering a solar minimum which will bring global cooling. Perhaps like the Maunder Minimum.

    1. Wait and see! Check out Grand Solar Minimum. There have been a number since 1300; each time the temperature drops. During a minimum the sun's activity declines. This is science so we will have to wait and see. Induction. Apparently the academic world has developed an allergy to debate.
