Heavy Emissions from the Roof of Unit 1? Or is it Unit 2?

  1. I can see how people can get in a rut over fukushima. Over the ecoside of the planet. Especially those who have closeness to Japan.

What needs to be done now is a cohesive and strong push to clean-up the nuclear mess. This endeavor will take plenty of financial and organizational support to shut-down and clean- up the nuclear reactors and nuclear sites.

I have followed a huge nuclear site left for decades to poison a community. The one I know got a clean-up started. It took years of activism and letters to get the federal government to step-in and start a cleanup.

The corporations will never do this as they promise. They declare bankrupcy in the United States and abandon nuclear messes. Now the government is cutting the financing of the super-fund nuclear clean-up site I am talking about.

To me the violence and meanness at Trump ralleys is scary. The way the media over-covers the trump stuff and embelishes violence and meanness is terrible. It seems like so many are using angst to get hyped-up and push meanness, self-righteous anger, and bullying as hard and far as they can. They do it in packs. Perhaps that is the way some of these people were in the first place.

I do not think big buseness would clean-up any reactor or nuclear sites on their own. I do not think someone like donald trump would do it.

The type of angst and anger we are now seeing is glorified in the media. The angst and posturing does nothing to shut down reactors. The anger and threats take focus away from nuclear abominations. The angst and rhetoric take away from a plan for a rational and practical course to dismantle nucs and nuclear sites. That course is long and painful. We needed to start long ago.

  5. TEPCO has drawn DOWN the water in Unit 1--and has started the freezing wall on the sea side(why that side if water comes from the opposite side??). This after officials stopped the wall project due to concerns. Looks like Unit 1 AND Unit 2 both are hanging on via a thread. Lowering the water just allows more radiation to flow into the AIR. And of course..they mention they still have a 'leak' of contaminated water into the ocean..just 300 T or so a day, give or take a few thousand tons(sarcasm).JEC
